A teacher and father-of-two who repeatedly molested a teenage girl while working at a primary school has been banned from teaching for life.
Andrew Oldfield, 35, was convicted of four counts of sexual activity with a child in 2020 and is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for his crimes.
The 35-year-old was a teacher at Horn's Mill Primary School in Helsby, Frodsham just outside Chester, from 2018.
It was during his time at the school that he repeatedly had sexual intercourse with his victim, a girl between the ages of 13 and 17. The girl did not go to Horn's Mill School.
The father-of-two messaged the girl about the sordid abuse and his plans to do it again on WhatsApp.
He was caught out after his victim's mother found messages from Oldfield on the lockscreen of her daughter's phone, where he was urging the girl to delete his messages.
David Watson, prosecuting at Liverpool Crown Court on 23 October 2020, said the woman confronted Oldfield, who at first told an elaborate lie in an attempt to fool her.
