Australia's torrid summer of rain has left thousands of homes covered in mould and now there are fears it could have serious health rammifications.
From the back of photo frames and wall-mounted bedheads to hand woven baskets and storage canisters, thousands of households are battling the dangerous growth and discovering it in hard to spot areas.
Canberra resident Caitlin Ross recently underwent a chest scan after having difficulty breathing - revealing she had mould spores growing in her lungs.
'I had intense pain in my lung and I knew something was really, really wrong,' she told Nine News.
'I'd been through three different courses of antibiotics and nothing had worked. I was pretty lucky at that point to even be alive.'
