And Anton Du Beke might need the smoke alarm on hand for his latest TV show after admitting he had never learnt to cook before joining the programme.
The 55-year-old, pictured right, will make his debut on ITV’s Cooking With The Stars tonight.
Speaking ahead of the opening episode, he said: ‘I don’t cook at all. I’ve never cooked anything in my entire life... The first time I cooked anything was the first morning of training [for the show]. It was the first time I’d been in a kitchen and cooked something with a pan on a stove.’

The show will see eight celebrities – including Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes and TV expert Dr Ranj Singh – work with acclaimed chefs to become restaurant-standard cooks. The six-part series starts tonight at 8pm.
