An English expat has made an embarrassing admission just a few days after he hilariously mocked Aussies for their inability to handle cold weather and their obsession with an expensive outdoor adventure brand.

Daniel Olaniran, known as @olantekkers on TikTok and Instagram, has built quite the following on social media after he moved to Australia from the UK two and a half years ago.

The former professional soccer player is always happy to give his opinion on Aussie culture and our way of life - including our apparently unhealthy obsession with the pricey North Face brand.

In his latest TikTok video, Mr Olaniran admitted he had given in to societal pressures and bought a North Face jacket, despite it being the butt of many of his jokes.

He recently had a dig at the way the Aussies react to winter, having been used to the extremely freezing temperatures over in the UK.

'Listen, listen. Don't judge me, we've all had change of hearts or change of opinions on certain things,' Mr Olaniran said.

'And yes I conform to societal pressures and social norms ... it's part of being Australian and embracing the culture.

'It's not my fault I put on the jacket and I felt like Ironman, I felt like Wolverine, I felt like Xavi (former Barcelona FC player now manager) in his prime when I put this on bruv.'

Mr Olaniran said he didn't even look at the price when he decided to join the North Face crew.

'When I swiped the card, I didn't check how much it was, I just swiped it,' he said.

'When I saw the little notification come through I said "Lord, Jesus have mercy".

'I'm going to have to return this one tomorrow because the balance is not balancing.

'If you see me return it, mind your business, mind your f**king business bro.'

Mr Olaniran told Daily Mail Australia 'I honestly didn't understand the hype around these jackets until I tried it on, then I understood'.

'Luxurious feel to it...but I don't know if it is worth $450 bucks.'

'I still believe it's not cold enough for a huge thick jacket like that but I understand why people buy them.'

'Don't judge me, we've all had change of hearts or change of opinions on certain things...and yes I conform to societal pressures and social norms...it's part of being Australian and embracing the culture,' Mr Olaniran (pictured) stated
