Residents of an apartment complex where the bodies of two women were found decomposing have spoken out about their horror, saying they often hear 'sirens' in the area.
Emergency services were called to a home on Canterbury Road, Canterbury in Sydney's west at about 9.30am on Tuesday following a concern for welfare report.
Upon arrival, officers from Burwood Police Area Command entered the unit and located the bodies of two women, who are believed to be sisters, inside.
It is believed the bodies may have been inside the apartment for a few days due to their state of decomposition, with neighbours disturbed by the news.
