A New South Wales policeman has been charged with raping one woman and stalking another in a string of allegations dating back eight years.
Constable Joshua Alan James Wootton has been stood down but granted bail after he was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.
Wootton, from Oran Park in south-west Sydney, was taken into custody at 4.40pm and charged with nine offences at Narellan police station.
The 31-year-old, who is attached to a Central Metropolitan Region command, faced Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday morning.
Five of the charges relate to one woman and two to another. Both women are 26.
