An elaborate alleged Brazilian cartel scheme to assassinate a Paraguayan prosecutor on May 10 was caught on surveillance footage, according to Colombian prosecutors.

Five suspects, Marisol Londoño, her son Cristian Monsalve, Wendre Carrillo, Eiverson Arrieta and Francisco Correa were taken into custody in Medellín last Friday.

All of the suspects except Correa pleaded guilty to the execution of Paraguayan prosecutor Marcelo Pecci in Columbia on May 10.

Authorities say the assassinate squad initially met on May 5 at a marketplace in Medellín to go over the plot that was ordered by the First Capital Command, the most powerful cartel in Brazil that also happens to have a large presence in the Paraguay prison system.

Pecci was reportedly prosecuting a drug and money laundering case that culminated with the extradition of a Lebanese national and two other men who were also sent to the U.S. on extradition requests, which authorities say may have also been related to the cartel.

Londoño, Monsalve, Carrillo and Arrieta all traveled to Cartagena on May 6 while and Correa remained in Medellín to coordinate the attack.

The surveillance video shows Londoño and Monsalve completing the check-in process at the Decameron Hotel, which was the same resort where Pecci was celebrating his honeymoon with his journalist wife, Claudia Aguilera, in Isla Barú.
