Mr Ogibney recalls his walk being interrupted when a bat flew out of a low tree at him 'three or four times', the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

After discovering a scratch on his hand he decided to seek medical help.

While seeking medical attention Mr Ogibney said he was joined at the clinic by another bat attack victim, with the doctor saying he had seen a bat-related injury every day for the past fortnight.
