Thursday 30 June 2022 01:54 AM Naturopath and Smart Cleanse founder Savannah Daisley from Sydney charged with ... trends now A naturopath and entrepreneur from Sydney's ritzy eastern suburbs has been charged with child sex abuse. Savannah Daisley, 45, faced Waverley Local Court on Tuesday charged with four counts of allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old child in the 24 hours before 5 pm on May 20 last year. The court heard the Instagram influencer, who is the daughter of celebrated horse breeder Ross Daisley, was highly intoxicated at the time but strongly denies the accusations and intends to plead not guilty to all charges. Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge denied Daisley bail, saying the allegations were 'quite disturbing', The Daily Telegraph reports. Pierre de Dassel, Daisley's defence lawyer, said the report against his client was made 'in spite', and it was an 'oath vs oath' case. Savannah Daisley, 45, (pictured) is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old child 'There is motivation around the timing of it that really affects the credibility and strength of the case,' he said. The court heard Daisley's father, who bred internationally renowned thoroughbred racehorse Choisir, would put up $10,000 bail for his daughter, who was willing to report to police daily. Prosecutor Daniel Richardson argued bail should be opposed, telling the court an officer in charge of the case told him about a phone call between Daisley and the alleged victim. During the conversation, Mr Richardson said Daisley admitted to at least kissing the young person but had little recollection of the alleged offending. 'But she says, "I thought you were going to call the police on me, I thought we had placed this in a little box and thrown it deep into the sea,' Mr Richardson told the court. 'His instruction to me was the phone call was quite damning to her. The facts are that admissions were made that were captured on telephone intercept and it is a quite serious matter'. Daisley is an Instagram influencer and the founder of detox business Smart Cleanse Denying bail, Magistrate Milledge said the act governing bail in relation to child sex offences was 'firm', and there was justification to keep Daisley in custody given the nature of the case. She is due to front the same court again on August 22. Daisley's father shot to fame for raising dual hemisphere racing champion Choisir, who was dubbed one of the greatest sires in Australia breeding. She also founded her own health company, Smart Cleanse, which boasts more than 40,000 followers on Instagram. Her bio reads: 'Naturopath & Coach. Health/beauty. Created the world's only gut-focused, premium, organic, practitioner grade, detox kit Founder'. Daisley was denied bail in Waverley Local Court (pictured) on Tuesday.
