Tuesday 5 July 2022 05:48 PM Kinzinger reveals threats saying 'we will come to your house', we are 'going to ... trends now Rep. Adam Kinzinger on Tuesday released audio of graphic threats made against him, his family, and fellow Republican lawmaker Rep. Liz Cheney. 'Threats of violence over politics has increased heavily in the last few years. But the darkness has reached new lows. My new interns made this compilation of recent calls they’ve received while serving in my DC office,' the Illinois Republican wrote on Twitter. Roughly three minutes' worth of call recordings feature people assailing Kinzinger with profane insults and vowing, 'we will come to your house.' The nameless callers accuse Kinzinger of 'backstabbing' Donald Trump and label him and Cheney as 'communists' while claiming to know where they and their families live. Cheney and Kinzinger are the lone Republican members of the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. Both have also become frequent targets of Trump's wrath since voting to impeach him over riot last year. 'You backstabbing son of a b****. You go against Trump y'all know you m***********s are sitting up there lying like a damn dog,' one caller said in the audio. Another person wildly accused Kinzinger of orchestrating the death of Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran who was shot while leading a crowd that shattered windows to invade the Capitol. 'You son of a b****. You gave $200 to that black b****** that killed Ashli Babbitt,' they said. Illinois Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger posted more than three minutes of threatening voicemails and phone calls made to his office on Twitter Tuesday morning He pointed out that it was young interns who mostly field the threatening messages, not the lawmaker himself 'I hope somebody like him kills your nasty mom and your nasty wife. It's not a threat, it's a hope.' Others promised to 'protest' in front of Kinzinger's home - which he shares with his wife and baby daughter. 'Hey you little c*** s*****. Going to come protest in front of your house this weekend. We know where your family is, and we're going to get you, you little c*** s*****,' a man's voice said. 'Gonna get your wife. Gonna get your kids. You little c*** s***ing b******.' 'You're gonna swing for f****** treason you communist f***,' yet another recording sounded. Calls also involved homophobic slurs, such as one person asking Kinzinger if he is 'Liz Cheney's f** hag.' The term is a derogatory way of describing a woman with many gay male friends. 'You two c*** s****** little b******. We're gonna get you. We're coming to your house, son. We're going to get you and Liz Cheney. Gonna get you two little c*** s******,' the person continued before bursting into laughter. Cheney's office said it had nothing to add when asked by DailyMail.com. Kinzinger's offices has not yet returned a request for further comment. The Illinois Republican, who is retiring at the end of this year, was also called a 'Marxist traitor,' a 'Pelosi cuck,' and a 'rotten piece of dog s***.' Kinzinger and Rep. Liz Cheney (left) have been targets of frequent attacks by former President Donald Trump (right) since voting to impeach him over the Capitol riot. They're one of 10 House Republicans who did 'You and Liz Cheney can both go to hell. F*** you, you big baby.' They went on, 'I hope you get terminal cancer you m************ pig.' The only female voice on the lengthy recording told Kinzinger she was praying for his demise. 'Wrath of the lord god almighty come upon you, your health, your family, your home, your livelihood. And I pray, if it be god's will, that you suffer,' she said. A disclaimer shown before the audio begins confirms that all of it came from either voicemail recordings or live phone calls received by his office in Washington. The legislator also points out that it's not him on the receiving end of the phone or hearing the calls first. That falls to the lowest level staffers within his office - aides at the beginning of their careers in their late teens or early twenties. 'Keep in mind all voicemails and phone calls are received by my interns, high school or college level, attempting to learn about the legislative process,' the message reads. While facing intense opposition from Trump, Kinzinger announced late last year that he would not be running for re-election in the House of Representatives. His state's newly-redrawn Congressional map would have pitted him against a fellow incumbent and ally in the House. However, the military veteran has since left open the prospect of running for All rights reserved for this news site (dailymail) and under his responsibility
