Governor Ron DeSantis had his office issue a scathing response to ABC’s The View after the talk show asked him to appear as a guest.
The daytime show reached out to the Republican governor of Florida to invite him on the show, with his deputy press secretary Bryan Griffin sharing the blistering email he sent back to the team.
DeSantis' team declined to allow him to go onto the lions den with the liberal ladies of The View, instead opting to make the row public.
He detailed at least four occasions that the woke show hosts and guests, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behard and Sunny Hostin, had openly slammed the governor and his policies.
Griffin claims that he received the request to their office on Friday asking to arrange the appearance, with the show saying they ‘would be honored’ to have him.
Posting his email online, Griffin wrote: ‘Thanks for the invite. I understand that you are sending this request on behalf of your team.
All of the incident detailed by DeSantis' team happened in the last year, with the earliest of the four incidents taking place in August last year where it was said he had a ‘white supremacist base'
