The New York news anchor suspended for delivering an incoherent broadcast made her first public comments since announcing she would be quitting her job last month.
Heather Kovar thanked members of her Facebook fan club after they posted footage of a 2012 interview she did with an NBA referee in which they discussed staying fit and healthy.
'The Fan Club always brings a smile to my face,' she wrote, reposting the Heather Kovar Fan Club's post.
Comments on the post were effusive and supportive, with many sending well-wishes and expressing delight to see her active again.
When one user asked if she was OK, Kovar responded: 'Yes. I had previously put in my resignation since my contract was up July 31.'
She hinted at a possible return to broadcast, saying there'd be more 'details to come.'
Last month, Kovar told the Albany Times Union that she was resigning from the Schenectady CBS 6 station where she had been an anchor since 2016, and said her mortifying performance on the July 9 broadcast was due to sleep deprivation stemming from a double shift.
A producer from the show, however, told NBC's Mike Sington that she was often 'intoxicated' on the job -- just never as evidently as she was on the infamous broadcast.

During the broadcast that Saturday morning, Kovar appeared disheveled, rambled incoherently, called anchors by the wrong name and slurred and stumbled over her words.
'And so, moving on tonight, is we have to tell you also, you know, like other news that's happening in the area, and across the area, in the nation,' she said at one point, all while pitching her body side to side, opening her eyes wide and gesticulating effusively with her hands.
