Katie Taylor, of The Latte Lounge support group, said: ‘There’s still no spray or gel at all –and nothing likely for months. ‘Women are having to go without, trying to borrow, cut their dose. Women are desperate.’ A shortage of hormone replacement therapy is getting worse, say campaigners Diane Danzebrink, of Menopause Support, said private firms seemed to have access to drugs the NHS lacked, adding: ‘A lady asked a private provider for a prescription she can’t get on the NHS and she accessed it immediately. 'It’s still a huge problem. A large percentage of women are still having significant issues getting their usual HRT.’ The Health Department said the issue was ‘at the top of the agenda’.
