The notorious 'duck sauce' killer tried to exonerate his wife in his suicide note, insisting that weapons found in a closet in her home belonged to him. 

The killer's real name was Glenn Hirsch. He took his own life last week hours before he was due to appear in court on murder charges for killing Zhiewan Yan, a Chinese-restaurant delivery man who he allegedly killed in a row over his order. 

Hirsch was addicted to duck sauce and insisted on being given copious amounts whenever he ordered from the restaurant where Yan worked, according to cops and other staff at the restaurant. 

He killed himself after being bailed out of jail on a $500,000 bond. 

Before his death, his wife Dorothy was also arrested because police found weapons wrapped in aluminum foil stashed inside a closet in her apartment in New York City. 

In a letter to the court today, however, her attorney revealed that Glenn tried to save her in his 'dying declaration' by insisting she had no knowledge of or connection to the weapons.

'I want to take full responsibility for the eight guns recovered from a closet in Dorothy's apartment. I acquired these firearms many years ago and they remained undisturbed in an outside storage facility shared with previous roommates.

'However a couple of years ago when my wife purchased her new cooperative apartment.

'I decided to close the storage unit. It was at that time I moved those items into my wife's apartment and placed them inside a hallway storage closet along with numerous other unopened bags and boxes...

'She had absolutely no part in obtaining the firearms nor did she have any knowledge they were inside of her residence,' the 'dying declaration' reads in part.
