Aussie scientists are getting closer to being able to test and treat Long Covid - a condition may have up to half a million sufferers.

The disease is a complex and sometimes debilitating condition which until now has had no proven treatment and no tests available.

Long Covid symptoms include extreme fatigue, heart palpitations, tightness and pain in chest, which linger for months or sometimes years after a Covid diagnosis.
