Rep. Liz Cheney launched a new campaign ad Thursday pushing that 'truth' about the 2020 election should win and calling out her political rivals for embracing the big lie, calling it a 'cancer.'

'As Election Day nears, I want to talk to citizens across our great state and all across our country. America cannot remain free if we abandon the truth,' Cheney said, looking into the camera as she stands in a field of wildflowers. 'The lie that the 2020 presidential election was stolen is insidious.'

Cheney is on the Republican primary ballot Tuesday in Wyoming to keep her at-large House seat - and is facing major backlash in her very red state for her criticism of former President Donald Trump, impeachment vote and participation in the January 6 House select committee.

She doubled down on that criticism Thursday, slamming Trump and Republicans who have pushed that the FBI's raid of Mar-a-Lago Monday must somehow be corrupt.

'I have been ashamed to hear members of my party attacking integrity of the FBI agents involved with the recent Mar-a-Lago search,' she tweeted. 'These are sickening comments that put the lives of patriotic public servants at risk.'

'This is Donald Trump's legacy, but it cannot be the future of our nation,' she said. 'History has shown us over and over again these types of poisonous lies destroy free nations.'

She then aimed her ire at her election rivals - mainly Harriet Hageman, the Trump-backed candidate who is beating her in a University of Wyoming's Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center poll, released Thursday, by 29 points.

'Like many candidates across this country, my opponents in Wyoming have said that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen,' Cheney said. 'No one who understands our nation's laws, no one with an honest, honorable, genuine commitment to our Constitution would say that.'
