Sir Rod Stewart has won his battle to fix the potholes near his home in Essex after complaining they were damaging his Ferrari. 

The singer, who had a hit with the song The First Cut Is The Deepest, got to work fixing the road himself earlier this year after claiming 'no-one can be bothered to do it'.

Videos posted to Instagram showed the star in a high-vis vest shovelling gravel into the holes along with a group of his friends.
