Karine Jean-Pierre said Sunday that President Joe Biden has still not been briefed on the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago nearly a week after agents descended on Donald Trump's Florida estate.

The president's press secretary said Biden has 'not discussed' the incident at all with FBI or Justice Department officials – and reminded viewers that the current FBI Director Christopher Wray was nominated by Trump.

'Even to this point, President Biden has not been briefed about any of this?' ABC News anchor Jonathan Karl asked Jean-Pierre on Sunday.

'Not been briefed. We have not interfered,' the press secretary said in her interview on the This Week program.

'Not discussed it at all?' Karl pushed, and Jean-Pierre confirmed.

'I'm going to tell you, Jonathan, we have learned about all of this the same way the American people have learned about this, through public reports, through your reporting and every other reporter who has talked about this,' she explained.

'That's how we have learned about what is happening,' Jean-Pierre said during her first Sunday program interview since becoming Biden's top spokesperson earlier this summer.

Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed in a Thursday press briefing on the raid that he directly approved his agency seeking the search warrant that led to the descent of 30 agents on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday.

Biden's team continues to claim that they were not involved in the matter and were unaware of the raid before it was carried out.

The raid was in relation to an investigation into whether Trump took classified documents and other material from the White House when he left office last year – in direct violation of the Presidential Records Act.

Trump claimed Monday morning in a Truth post: 'The FBI has a long and unrelenting history of being corrupt.'

Current Director Wray was appointed and confirmed under Trump's presidency.

'I would remind our folks on the other side,' Jean-Pierre said Sunday morning, 'that the FBI director was appointed by the president's predecessor.'

She also insisted that Garland is 'very clear' about believing in the rule of law and 'would not be the president's lawyer.'

'We do not interfere. We do not get briefed,' she repeated. 'The Department of Justice, again, when it comes to law enforcement matters, it is independent, complete independence.'

'And I'm just not going to comment on that [the raid]. None of us will, because we're going to let Merrick Garland speak for himself and his department,' she concluded.

Trump demanded earlier sunday that the FBI return to him any attorney-client material they seized from Mar-a-Lago during the Monday raid.

'Oh great! It has just been learned that the FBI, in its now famous raid of Mar-a-Lago, took boxes of privileged 'attorney-client' material, and also 'executive' privileged material, which they knowingly should not have taken,' the former president lamented on Truth Social, referencing a recent Fox News report.

He said that the FBI should consider his post on the alternative social media site his formal request that the documents be returned to his Palm Beach estate.

'By copy of this TRUTH,' Trump wrote on Sunday, 'I respectfully request that these documents be immediately
