Grace Tame has resumed her public spat with Scott Morrison by taking aim at the former prime minister's attempt to excuse his 'secret' ministry jobs - but she had to explain what one of her jibes meant.
Ms Tame took to Twitter after Mr Morrison's extraordinary press conference on Wednesday where he defended covertly being sworn into five other ministerial portfolios while he was prime minister.
'Behold, one of the feeblest yet most public attempts at DARVO ever,' Ms Tame tweeted, using an obscure acronym. She then explained what the term meant.
'The DARVO pathology is textbook: Deny Attack Reverse Victim and Offender roles As for his many defences, let's debunk some of the shakiest….'
She accused the former leader of 'playing the victim' by taking on a wounded tone when being held to account, which Ms Tame said was 'peak gaslight'.
Ms Tame took to Twitter to voice her opinion after Mr Morrison's extraordinary press conference on Wednesday where he defended secretly being sworn into other ministerial portfolios while he was prime minister
'Gaslighting' means to psychologically abuse someone and make them feel they are losing their sanity or are at fault for something when they are actually the victim.
The term is often used to denote someone controlling another in an abusive relationship, which seems to be what Ms Tame was suggesting.
'Not only is he in denial, he is attacking us, and claiming we are to blame,' she wrote.
In her Twitter spray, Ms Tame, a survivor of child sex abuse, set about demolishing what she saw as Mr Morrison's excuses and justifications.
As is characteristically the case the she referred to Mr Morrison as 'Scott' throughout, despite the pair being on anything but a friendly first-name basis.
'Scott claimed he'd 'no personal advantage',' Ms Tame wrote.
'Yet, he oversaw the ASIO, AFP, ABF and Surveillance Devices Acts while in the Home Affairs portfolio. That's nothing to sniff at.
Ms Tame expressed her evident displeasure at meeting Mr Morrison in January at an official event at the Lodge in Canberra
'Not to mention his allyship with the GG, and accessibility to details of certain criminal allegations.'
ASIO, AFP, ABF are all acronyms for intelligence, policing and enforcement agencies. 'GG' is a shortening of governor-general, with the current vice regal representative David Hurley also facing questions as to why he allowed Mr Morrison to load up 'secret' jobs.
Ms Tame accused Mr Morrison of being a rogue agent in his own government.
'Scott repeatedly used 'we' when explaining himself,' she tweeted.
'Yet, none of his cabinet were even aware he had sworn himself into these extra portfolios, which they were already occupying.
'How can a team possibly be a 'we' when it doesn't even know all the rules or indeed, the players?'
