An ex-cop has been charged with a string of sex crimes crimes including rape, kidnapping and sexual battery that span his six years on a police force in Kansas.  

Todd W. Allen, 51, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of committing 24 crimes while serving as a police officer for the Hutchinson police department between 2012 and 2018.

Allen, who has been described by Hutchinson Police Chief Jeff Hooper as a 'serial sexual predator', is accused of sexually assaulting people in city parks.

He would allegedly approach his victims in parked vehicles in city parks at night and convince them to step out of their cars. 

Allen, who served as a police officer for 20 years, would then allegedly sexually assault the victims.

But for six years, Allen allegedly continued sexually assaulting women while serving as a police officer without being caught.
