A Spitfire and Coast Guard helicopter narrowly avoided a mid-air crash at 1200ft as pilots were warned to climb down, a report reveals.
The AW189 - run by Coast Guard - and a Spitfire came within 300ft of each other while they were in mid-air above Lee-on-the-Solent on the Hampshire coast on 14 April.
