A manager of a pub in has revealed teenagers as young as 14 have been seeking refuge in their building over fears of being stabbed.

Khaitee Mills, manager of The Morgan Arms pub in Tower Hamlets, said she has helped to hide teenagers who were in fear of their lives from another group.

The pub boss said youths on stolen Deliveroo bikes were terrorising the neighbourhood.

This comes just days after a 17-year-old boy was knifed to death following a 'machete brawl' in east London.

Speaking to MyLondon, Ms Mills said: 'There's been a couple of instances where two or three young kids have come to hide in the back of the pub.

'We tried to communicate with them, but they'd just say 'we don't want to talk, just need to hide'. It makes me feel a bit uneasy. But, obviously, we have like a duty to protect people here,'

'They [were being followed] by some of the guys with balaclava face coverings on bikes, some [of which appeared to be] Deliveroo bikes, hanging around outside looking for them. Eventually, they dispersed and the kids left.'

Ms Mills described the group, who were hiding in the pub, as around 14 to 15 years of age.

She described multiple occasions where teenagers were fleeing from danger in the pub, including an incident where one had his bicycle stolen after being pursued by a group of adults.
