Prosecutors have demanded a Texas judge recuse himself from an upcoming child sex abuse trial after he apologized to a victim in an earlier case.
Fort Bend County Judge Robert Rolnick was also accused of 'rolling his eyes', 'pursing his lips' and 'shaking his head' during her testimony.
He allegedly expressed 'visible belief in the complainant's credibility' despite the juror's decision Gerson Rodriguez was guilty during the August trial.
And he was said to have abruptly interrupted the victim in the middle of her testimony to break for lunch, according to prosecutors.
The child was only 11 when the alleged abuse began but was 17 when she came forward, The Houston Chronicle reported.
Now prosecutors have called for him to be stripped of the right to preside over an upcoming case on Tuesday.
