Australia's oldest man has died peacefully in his sleep aged 110 after battling the effects of Covid-19.

Frank Mawer, who celebrated his birthday last month, became the country's oldest living person upon the death of Dexter Kruger in July 2021, aged 111.

He previously revealed the tips to living a long life, which included no smoking, no drinking, and no gambling.

Mr Mawer died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday at his 73-year-old son Philip's home in Central Tilba on the NSW South Coast. 

He lived in his own apartment
