Queensland has become the third state within 24 hours to axe mandatory masks on public transport.
Within hours, commuters in the Sunshine state will no longer need to wear face masks on public transport, taxis, rideshares or commercial shuttles.
The same rules apply when waiting on a platform or stop, taxi rank or pick-up area.
It comes after South Australia and NSW scrapped the Covid-19 restriction on Monday, a move NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet described as common sense.
But one state that won't be following suit is Victoria with Daniel Andrews standing firm.
