On Tuesday, Trump told Breitbart and then her office tweeted that Wolkoff 'spitefully edited' the conversation that was released back in October 2020 to make it sound like 'Christmas is not significant to me.' In the taped recording, the then-first lady is heard complaining: 'I'm working…my a** off on the Christmas stuff, that you know. Who gives a f**k about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?' she said, before talking about how she was facing public pressure to do something about the separations of migrant families at the U.S.-Mexico border. The fresh pushback comes just days after Trump launched a Christmas ornament collection featuring 'The Christmas Star,' engraved with Trump's signature and sold on MelaniaTrump.com for $45 alongside a corresponding animated NFT, along with six other Christmas ornaments on the website USA Memorabilia. 'This is laughable! Melania is lying and using MY name to garner attention to sell HER Christmas tchotchkes,' Wolkoff responded via Twitter on Wednesday. Stephanie Winston Wolkoff (left) and former first lady Melania Trump (right) are in a war over Trump's Christmas comments 'This is laughable! Melania is lying and using MY name to garner attention to sell HER Christmas tchotchkes,' Wolkoff responded via Twitter on Wednesday She also called the former first lady 'PATHETIC' in another tweet One of the Melania Trump-designed ornaments and corresponding NFTs featured her 'Be Best' slogan First lady Melania Trump reads to children at Children's National Hospital in December 2020 In another tweet Wolkoff wrote 'PATHETIC!' 'Melania Trump needs to attack ME to sell Christmas ornament NFS's. What is Melania worried about? She can't sell ornaments on her own?' She wrote the tell-all, Melania and Me, and published it about two months before the 2020 election. Melania Trump charged that Wolkoff deleted a part of the conversation in which the then-first lady expressed a desire to reunite migrant children and families. 'Most people will agree that reuniting migrant children with their parents is more important than discussing Christmas decorations during summertime,' Melania Trump said. 'The fact that Wolkoff deleted this part of our conversation, where I expressed hope to reunite families split apart at the southern border, exposes her malicious intent.' In the 2020 recording, Melania Trump is heard complaining that President Barack Obama's administration didn't garner criticism for its border policies. On Wednesday, Wolkoff also screenshot an email from the future first lady to prove that they were, indeed, close 'OK, and then I do it and I say that I'm working on Christmas and planning for the Christmas, and they said, "Oh, what about the children that they were separated?"' she said. 'Give me a f***ing break. Were they saying anything when Obama did that? I cannot go, I was trying to get the kid reunited with the mom. I didn't have a chance - needs to go through the process and through the law.' Melania Trump also called Wolkoff 'untrustworthy.' Throughout Wednesday, Wolkoff continued to go after the ex-first lady - as former President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump were sued by New York's Democratic Attorney General Letitia James. 'Melania Trump is just like her husband. A serial liar and conwoman,' Wolkoff said. She also screenshot an email from the former first lady to prove that they were, indeed, close. The 2012 message shows Melania Trump calling Wolkoff 'darling' and asked Wolkoff to give a quote to a journalist profiling the future first lady - and asked for dates they could get lunch. Melania Trump signed the email 'Love you!' Share or comment on this article: All rights reserved for this news site (dailymail) and under his responsibility
