Controversial vegan activist Tash Peterson has been charged after interrupting a cattle-judging contest that she was tackled and thrown out of last year.
Peterson stormed Perth's Royal Show in 2021, disrupting a cattle judging event by leaping over the barrier and screaming 'these beautiful and innocent beings are going to be brutally murdered and shot in the head'.
As horrified onlookers including children watched on, an irate farmer then roughly manhandled the 27-year-old and ejected her from the exhibit.
Peterson later left WA but on Monday returned to the Perth Royal Show and locked herself to a cattle judging ring.
She told her social media followers she joined 'fellow animal rights activist Aly' and 'disrupted the abhorrent 'Royal' Agricultural Show'.
Peterson claimed the event 'glamourises animal slavery, abuse and murder'.
Police have confirmed that both activists have now been charged with trespass and disorderly behaviour in public or in sight or hearing of any person in a public place.
