"Video recently shared by the Philadelphia Police Department ""shows the moments in which a mother and daughter were carjacked at gunpoint early in the morning.
The incident happened just after 6:15 a.m. on September 19 in the northeast portion of the city.
In a release sent to DailyMail.com, police describe the unidentified suspect as a Black male teen and the victims as a 48-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter. Officials also said that the investigation is 'ongoing.'
The video shows the woman and her daughter heading out for the day when a man, who was earlier seen riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, ambushes the pair.
The suspect appears to hide behind another car in the driveway before eventually sneaking up on the mother and daughter, brandishing a weapon.
One of the two victims yells 'don't shoot' as he begins to run up on the women.

After chasing the teenage girl into the street, the suspect turns his attention to the mother, pointing the gun at her as he moves towards the driver's side of the vehicle
Once the mother retreats from her car after the suspect pointed his gun, he approached the driver side door
He approaches the teen first as she was attempting to enter the passenger side of the vehicle. The girl backs up in fear, running away quickly after dropping her backpack on the ground.
On the other side of the vehicle, the mother appears to make eye contact with the suspect who had began running after the girl.
