The shooting transpired on Fairway Terrace near Roxborough High School around 4:30 pm, in the suburb of Roxborough. Police said at a press conference that three of the student victims were taken to nearby Einstein Medical Center and a fourth to Temple University Hospital in the main city, presumably with more serious injuries. The three rushed to Einstein were said to be in stable condition. There was no immediate word on the state of the fourth student. All were confirmed by lawmen to all be members of the school's football team. Local new stations streamed helicopter footage of cops cordoning off the area surrounding the school, as a victim was placed into a police car and rushed away from the school parking lot. Blood could be seen lining the pavement and asphalt nearby. Investigators marked bullet casings in chalk along Pechin Street near Fairway Terrace, behind the suburban high school.
