A second unvaccinated US coast guardsman has lamented how no one asked if he or others had had the shot before they were drafted in to save lives in Hurricane Ian despite the fact they now face losing their jobs over it.
Chad Watson appeared on Fox on Tuesday morning, as rescue swimmer Zach Loesch - a hero who was personally thanked by Biden for his hurricane efforts - faced losing his job.
Watson said he served in the coast guard for 18 years - two years short of qualifying for retirement - but now he faces termination because he continues to refuse the shot.
Watson scoffed when asked how many people had asked him if he was vaccinated before he was drafted in to help with the Ian recovery efforts, replying: 'None.'
In July, the US Army fired 60,000 unvaccinated soldiers. There remains 19,000 unvaccinated members of the Armed Forces, including in the Coast Guard, who risk losing their jobs too.
