A missing man's stepdaughter and her boyfriend have appeared at crown court accused of his murder. 

Frank McKeever, 63, vanished on August 28 last year and his body is yet to be found.

He was last seen walking along Highbury Park, close to the junction of Highbury Grange.

His stepdaughter Surie Suksiri, 30, and her partner Juned Sheikh, 47, were both charged with murdering Mr McKeever on October 23.

Wearing a grey tracksuit, Sheikh appeared at the Old Bailey via videolink from HMP Wormwood Scrubs, speaking to confirm his name, date of birth and address

Suksiri, also was wearing a grey tracksuit, attended via videolink from HMP Bronzefield and spoke to confirm her identity.

Catherine Pattison, prosecuting, said: ‘This case concerns Frank McKeever. His body has never been recovered.’

Mr McKeever was last seen at around 10pm leaving Ms Suksiri’s property at The Chestnuts, Highbury Grange with Sheikh before returning to her home shortly afterwards.

The lifelong Birmingham FC fan has never been since.

Sheikh, of Camberwell, southeast London, and Suksiri, of Islington, north London, were remanded in custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation on January 18.

Their trial date was fixed
