The FBI swooped on a far-right extremist who stockpiled silencers and bomb-making materials as well as building his own machine guns in a plot to ‘kill as many government officials as possible’.
Aron McKillips was arrested by members of a task force from the FBI’s Cleveland Division on Tuesday and is a ‘well known member’ of the Boogaloo Bois – a militia group.
The 29-year-old is part of the Ohio branch of the group, which seeks to overthrow the government by sparking off a Civil War.
He has been charged with unlawful possession of a machine gun and interstate communication of threats.
A criminal complaint unsealed in Toledo federal court revealed that McKillips regularly spoke to other members about his violent plans, according to the Daily Beast.
Investigators claim he wanted to ‘blow up the IRS’, destroy Facebook headquarters and carry out a copycat attack of the 2017 deadly mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert which killed 58 people.

McKillips shared a disgraceful meme regarding the brutal attack on Paul Pelosi last week, which saw the 82-year-old attacked with a hammer and forced to undergo brain surgery

He also expressed a desire to detonate a pipe bomb at a local child support office last year over processing fees.
In an audio recording in a Signal chart room, which had several federal informants in it, McKillips said: ‘The main f***ing beginning was kill feds, kill police, kill government officials.
‘Kill them. Murder them. Unalive them. Delete them. Get rid of them. And then it became “we’re gonna do this peaceful.” F*** that.’
He also spoke about ‘burning down federal buildings’ and ‘shooting federal agents’, adding ‘this s*** started out being a f***ing way to kill feds.’
McKillips was also heard complaining that no one wanted to ‘raid a government building’ with him, before saying that he wanted to ‘mail a feds head back to his wife’.
