The outraged Sydney mayor who is furious a group of ISIS brides and their children have been relocated to his area has doubled down on his comments, comparing them moving in to Hitler's wife being put in 'the middle of a Jewish settlement'.

Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone was repeatedly interrupted by The Project host Waleed Aly on Wednesday night after he appeared on the current affairs show to slam the families' relocation.

Fairfield City Council, in western Sydney, has a large contingent of Syrian refugees who fled the country to escape the terrorist group.

Viewers said they were 'disgusted' by the fiery discussion after Mr Carbone was interrupted trying to explain how the resettlement of former ISIS families would affect the refugees.

Mr Carbone slammed Aly's comments on Thursday and brought up the Holocaust and the attempted genocide of the Jewish people to make his point.

During Wednesday's fiery interview on The Project, Aly interrupted Mr Carbone to say the ex-ISIS members are allowed to be in Australia.

Mr Carbone's biggest concern wasn't that the women and children are returning but that they are moving to an area filled with Syrian refugees.

He urged the government to consider
