The Lord Mayor's Show, a procession which dates back to the 13th century, took over the streets of the City of London today as delighted crowds lined the way.
London's financial district was filled with pomp and pageantry as the 800-year-old parade saw over a hundred groups walk, drive and cycle the route in costumes and official regalia.
The extravagant celebration, one of Britain's oldest traditions, was cancelled for just the second time in its long history due to Covid in 2020.
The Lord Mayor is the City of London's mayor and is elected every year. The role is not linked to the Mayor of London, a position held by Sadiqread more from dailymail.....
