Phillip Schofield has refused to apologise over the queuegate scandal and has insisted he 'did nothing wrong'
The ITV star, 60, and This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby faced a furious backlash after images emerged of them appearing to 'skip the line' while tens of thousands of mourners waited for more than 12 hours to pay their final respects to the Queen.
An online petition to have the duo fired from their lucrative presenting roles surpassed 100,000 signatures in a matter of days.
A statement was issued by ITV following the incident and later broadcast on This Morning, which was voiced over by Holly but both stopped short of using the word 'sorry' - a move which left many viewers furious.
The statement instead claimed the pair were in Westminster Hall to film a segment for an upcoming episode of This Morning.
