A man who moved to Noosa from Melbourne has moved back home because he found the Sunshine Coast resort paradise too 'boring'.

Peter Shortal, 66, left Melbourne for Queensland in 2018 because he was 'sick to death of the cold weather' and finds the traffic 'painstaking'.

Having retired at the end of 2017, just after Easter 2018 he drove to Noosa and bought a three bedroom house with a swimming pool three days later for $910,000.

At first he loved the change of lifestyle and thought he would never sell up.

But as time went on, some doubts crept in and the seachanger realised he wanted more from life than paradise and warm weather in Noosa.
