An asylum seeker suspected of raping a teenage boy is on the run after fleeing a a Home Office-approved hotel in Buckinghamshire.
Police had detained the 39-year-old foreign national in a guesthouse in Waltham Forest on October 5 after a reports a teenage boy had been attacked.
The hotel was being used to house asylum seekers and the suspect was taken into custody and bailed until early January.
He was then rehoused in approved-premises in Buckinghamshire, but today it was revealed he had vanished and was now on the run.
It had been suggested in Parliament he had gone missing after being escorted to the new hotel by the police.
But sources told MailOnline his relocation had not been dealt with by the Met and instead had been the responsibility of the Home Office.

Conservative MP Greg Smith told the Commons: 'Buckinghamshire Council learned third-hand from a London borough just this morning that an asylum seeker who is under investigation for a very serious offence was transferred to the asylum hotel in Buckingham.
'He was not escorted into the premises and has since gone missing.'
