The family of a 13-year-old Aboriginal boy fear he will be scarred for life after claiming he was mauled by a police dog while in handcuffs and defenceless.
Jayden Abraham was arrested when police responded to an alleged crime spree in Bentley and St James, south of Perth, on Sunday night.
The boy's loved one's claim he was in handcuffs and sitting on the ground when the dog bit him on the face, neck and arms but police deny that.
Deputy Commissioner Kylie Whiteley told the West Australian body-worn camera footage of the arrests did not show the boy in restraints but did admit the boy was injured by the dog.
Jayden's aunt Shara Abraham told Daily Mail Australia she's furious that he's been left with 'scars for the rest of his life'.
She hopes Jayden will be out of hospital by the end of the week, but doctors are unable to say when he will be released.
