Texans all the way in Dallas Fort Worth felt the tremors at 3.32 pm that began in the city remote city of Mentone - about 350 miles outside of Austin. Residents were shaken up by the unexpected jolt and were quick to confirm the earthquake on Twitter. 'Did anyone else feel that tremor?' one person wrote. 'Did Texas just have a mini earthquake?' Meanwhile, another state resident said the jolt rocked his high-rise building. 'Wow first earthquake I've experienced in Texas,' another person wrote. 'Definitely felt the building rocking up here on the 13th floor.' Mentone has a population of 22 people, according to World Population Review. No injuries or damages were immediately reported. One of the last 'major' earthquakes in Texas was in 2020 when a 5 magnitude jolt hit Orla Texas - 26 miles north of Mentone. Before that, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit Fashing Texas in 2011 - about 59 miles south of San Antonio.
