Two young boys have been given a stern talking to by police after they used a pair of painted toy guns and balaclavas to allegedly try and rob a Chemist Warehouse.
Police allege the boys, aged 10 and 12, entered the chemist on Wyndham St, in the northern Victorian city of Shepparton, just before 12pm on November 11 and demanded money.
The pair were wearing dark balaclavas and clutching painted toy guns when they were accused of storming the store and asking Chemist Warehouse workers for cash before allegedly fleeing on foot.
Police caught up with the children a short time later with part of their arrest being caught on camera by a witness.
A video of one of the boys, dressed in black and standing with his little wrists handcuffed in front of him, showed him repeatedly refusing requests from police to reveal the name of his parent.
In the TikTok video, police could be heard scolding the small boy as he sarcastically told them he 'couldn't remember' his mum's name.
