The woman was allegedly stabbed by a man she knew on the sixth floor of the Quality Hotel Ambassador Perth just after 9:30am yesterday morning. Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Fogell from the Homicide Squad said the woman was found unresponsive. 'Police were called to the hotel as a result of a disturbance and a female adult was located on one of the upper floors. 'She was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered a traumatic event.' A man has been arrested. 'An adult male we suspect was involved in that traumatic incident was taken into custody at the scene,' Senior Sergeant Fogell said. 'It [happened] on one of the upper floors inside one of the rooms and then migrated into the corridor outside that room, and yes there were witnesses. 'The circumstances of her injuries indicate that a weapon was involved, however it is too early in the investigation to confirm what weapon and how she's sustained her injuries.' Local Jeremy Grazziadelli told 9News he heard a 'wail of sirens' after the alleged incident. 'As they came out they had a gentleman on the gurney, he was covered in quite a bit of blood. They were doing CPR,' he said. Police investigations continue, and they are urging the public to contact Crime Stoppers with any information about the incident. 'My information at this point is that the male person was a guest at this hotel, but there's no information on the female,' Senior Sergeant Fogell said. 'Although we're not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident, if anyone has any information I urge them to contact Crime Stoppers.'
