PICTURED: Colorado Springs gay club gunman, 22, is seen surrendering to cops after bomb threat to his MOM - one year before he entered club with 'tremendous firepower' and killed five Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, is suspected of murdering five people and injuring others at Club Q on Saturday  In June 2021, he was arrested at the home his mother was renting on suspicion of making threats  His mother, Laura Voepel, called 911 claiming he'd threatened to blow her up with a homemade bomb It's unclear if he legally owned any weapons at the time or if he was able to purchase his guns afterwards Aldrich was beaten by patrons inside the club and held until police arrived at the scene He remains in the hospital today and has not yet been formally charged but that is expected shortly

The suspect in Saturday's mass shooting at a gay club in Colorado can be seen for the first time in Ring camera footage from his June 2021 arrest, when he was taken into custody after threatening to kill his mother. 

Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22,  was taken into custody at the house where his mother, Laura Voepel, was renting a room in June 2021 in Colorado Springs. She called police claiming her son was threatening her, and he was taken into custody on charges of kidnapping and felony menacing.
