Monday 21 November 2022 10:08 PM Jill Biden says she and Joe are 'heartbroken' over Colorado club shooting trends now
First Lady Jill Biden decried mass shootings in the U.S. and said she and President Biden are 'heartbroken' over the Colorado gay night club shooting that left five dead and 25 wounded.
'It hurts our hearts, really,' the first lady told the press as she welcomed the White House Christmas tree while holding her youngest grandson two-year-old Beau's hand.
'It just keeps going on and on,' she continued. 'Joe and I feel just heartbroken.'
The first lady welcomed this year's 18 and a half foot Concolor Fir, which was brought in on a horse-drawn carriage. Accompanying the first lady was the Shealer family, who had grown the tree on their Evergreen Acres farm in Auburn, Pennsylvania, and said that this year's tree was planted nearly 20 years ago.
Biden was also joined by Army and National Guard mom and spouse Kelly Hokanson. Hunter Biden's wife Melissa Cohen looked on from the side and waited to collect her son Beau.
