The Daily Mail's Andrew Pierce has suggested disgraced MP Matt Hancock has 'woven his magic' to get the British public back on side and could now win I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! 

Discussing the former Health Secretary's chances of being crowned winner of the reality show, Andrew admitted he could now see Mr Hancock triumph over the other contestants.

Andrew told podcast host Katie Hinds: 'I've got a horrible feeling he is going to win. 

'The revelation, of course, has been how a clever politician has woven his magic. That's why he's got a majority of over 23,000. It's why he was in the Cabinet.

'He has beguiled, he has charmed, he has got people feeling sorry for him. Politicians are different to the rest of us, they've got thick skin and many faces and he has shown quite a few of those faces in the jungle.'

Ofsted has been hit with more than 1,500 complaints in recent weeks with viewers railing against the treatment of the West Suffolk MP.

Many of the complaints stem the poor treatment of Hancock by stars such as Boy George, who was openly critical of the former Tory whip's participation in the show.

On the pop star's departure from the show, Andrew said: 'He was unpleasant, nasty, bullied Matt Hancock... I'm a fan of Boy George. I went to see him in the 1980s, admired the fact he came out at a time when people wouldn't. I met him, he was a nice bloke.

'But what happened to him in that jungle? He was deeply unpleasant and he's used Matt Hancock as an excuse. His true personality has shone through everyday, he was a bully and he was spiteful.'
