New Yorkers on the Upper West Side of Manhattan were treated to a sneak peak of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons as they were inflated with helium on Wednesday afternoon.
The massive balloons were blown up between midday and 6pm along Central Park West. It takes about 90 minutes to inflate each balloon.
New balloon giants joining the line-up this year include Stuart, the one-eyed Minion from Despicable Me 2, a new green dinosaur, an Apatosaurus, the debut of the cartoon dog Bluey, and a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid balloon.

This year's parade will feature 16 giant character balloons, 28 floats, 40 novelty and heritage inflatables, 12 marching bands, more than 800 clowns and, of course, Santa Claus.
Other balloons this year include Pillsbury Doughboy, Boss Baby, Aida Twist, The Hottest Heart, Chase from Paw Patrol, Red Titan, Goku, Bluey, and SpongeBob SquarePants & Gary.
Baby Shark, Smokey Bear, Go Bowling Ballonicles, Striker, Ronald McDonald, Astronaut Snoopy, Papa Smurf and Pikachu & Eeevee round out the crowd.
