Terrified tube commuters watched as a teenage boy was brutally stabbed on a busy Victoria Line train in South London, the latest knife attack in the capital after a string of stabbings in recent months.
Police arrived to Stockwell station on the Victoria Line train in Lambeth at around 3pm on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing, finding the 16-year-old with two puncture wounds.
Emergency services took the teen to hospital after treating him for potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police on Friday charged Amarjay Camron Nkemayang, 18, with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The suspect, who is from Stockwell in south London, was treated for minor injuries after the stabbing and is due to appear at Westminster magistrates court today.
