Matt Hancock could bag himself a £2million payday after his success in the I’m A Celeb jungle, it was predicted last night.

While those close to the former health secretary said he had no plans to step back from politics, agents and TV executives were thought to be lining up to capitalise on his public resurgence.

After three weeks in a gilet and boots with only rice and beans for sustenance, Mr Hancock scrubbed up well for the I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! wrap party yesterday.

The 44-year-old former Tory frontbencher looked casual in a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt and trainers while girlfriend Gina Coladangelo complemented his look in a zip-up white jumpsuit.
