This is the moment a pub landlord whipped off his Welsh hoodie to reveal a Three Lions shirt underneath as a village straddling the England-Wales border prepares to be split over who to support in tonight's game.

Llanymynech's position makes its inhabitants conflicted over which side to back - but villagers all agree it will be a friendly battle and many will be happy with the result either way.

On the Powys side of town, landlord of The Dolphin Inn John Turner, 58, is expecting a bar full of Welsh fans - but where his loyalty lies is more complicated.

'It would be a fantastic result for Wales to go through wouldn't it, but being an east London boy - even though I'm running a pub in Wales - I must admit my allegiance is always going to have to be for England,' he said, appearing on Good Morning Britain.

Nowhere will the match have more resonance than in the village of Llanymynech. On the Powys side of town, landlord John Turner (pictured), 58, is expecting a bar full of Welsh fans at The Dolphin Inn

Mr Turner was wearing a Wales jumper in the clip, but after revealing he is originally from London he revealed an England shirt tucked secretly underneath.

Boos erupted from drinkers as he showed off his Three Lions shirt - but it all appeared to be friendly banter.

Mr Turner earlier said: 'I might be the landlord of the village's Welsh pub but I'm still supporting England. It's not tribal.'

But he said he will happily welcome the pub landlord from across the road - or border - for a drink after the game.
