Congress RECEIVES Trump's tax returns trends now

The House Ways and Means Committee is now in possession of six years of former President Trump's tax returns following a three-year legal fight.
The IRS, under the Treasury Department, has handed over the documents after the Supreme Court rejected Trump's plea to prevent them from giving the Democrat-led committee access to six years of tax returns for Trump and some of his businesses.
Lower courts agreed that the committee has broad authority to obtain tax returns and rejected Trump's claims that it was overstepping, and the Supreme Court declined to step in to overrule them. The returns span mostly his time as president and relate to Trump personally and his businesses.
The documents are not expected to immediately be made public.
During Trump's presidency, the Treasury Department refused to provide the records Democrats so desperately wanted to get their hands on. But the Biden administration said federal law is clear that the committee has the right to examine any taxpayer's return, including the president's.
