Internet sleuths continue to share their theories on the Idaho murder case that left four university students brutally stabbed - as police are yet to make arrests.

More than two weeks have passed since the gruesome slayings of University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20 and Ethan Chapin, 20, inside their off-campus home in the small town of Moscow.

The grizzly murders have transfixed the nation, leaving many online to do their own digging as police have yet to identify a suspect or murder weapon.

Among the leading theories in the r/Idahomurders Reddit board include claims of a broken window that could not lock, that chloroform was used to knock out the students, and accusations that the victims' nervous neighbor was somehow involved.

While police have determined which theories have merit and which don't, the internet remains transfixed on the story.

DID THE KILLER COME THROUGH A BROKEN WINDOW?

One of the biggest theories to gain traction following the November 13 murders was a claim that the off-campus home had a broken window without a screen that the killer could have used to get inside.

One person on the Reddit board dedicated to revealing the truth behind the slayings wrote: 'At the beginning of this case I saw a TikTok video that I think has since been removed.

'I can't remember who posted it. I think it was Kaylee but could've been Maddie.

'The video was touring through the house, showing their storage room laundry room, etc., etc., but one very important detail they showed in the video was that there was a window without a screen that never locked because it was broken.'

The reddit user goes on to say that he watched the video 'more than once' and believes it has 'since been taken down.'

'I have been trying to find it again and I can't,' the post reads.

'Does anyone else here remember seeing this video on TikTok? I can't be the only one who remembers this. It was literally up there last week. It could be relevant.'

Another user replying to the original post said: 'Yes I saw that video too! Now that you mention it I saw it but it is gone now.

'I wonder if they took it off to examine everyone who watched it and didn't want more views on it.'

Others noted: 'Because in the video (since removed) she literally says... 'and here is our window that doesn't have a screen and never locks because it is broken.'

'It might have been Dylan that posted it. I can't remember. But I believe she shut down all her social media.

'Maybe that is why the video is missing now. Crazy you brought this up because I do 100 percent remember this video now!'

Dailymail.com has contacted the Moscow Police Department whether the theory has merit, but it is yet to be ruled out as of Wednesday.

WERE THE VICTIMS KNOCKED OUT BY CHLOROFORM?

Another theory circling the internet has proposed that chloroform,  a colorless, volatile, sweet-smelling liquid, which renders people unconscious if administered, was used on the victims as they were slain.

A reddit user wrote: 'Could the murderer have potentially used chloroform? I know its a stretch of a theory, however, with the lack of immediate evidence in a killing this big, it's coming across very calculated.

'Considering the lack of noise it doesn't seem like the wildest idea to consider. Chloroforming the victims would allow for more silence.

'This is only in regards to the victims without defensive wounds. I'm just baffled.'

In response another user mused: 'If they were drunk enough to not wake up from him entering or standing over then he stabbed them in a way that punctured their lungs I don't think they'd even be able to physically scream.

'If he was able to get close enough to chloroform someone without them waking up he would have been close enough to do that.

'It's much harder to knock someone unconscious with chloroform than most people think too.'

Dailymail.com have asked police whether the autopsies of the four victims have returned any evidence of chloroform in their systems.

The theory is yet to be ruled out by authorities as of Wednesday.
